I just purchased a 1969 Coronet, I have had it a month or so now and a buddy pointed out to me that the vin tag on the dash had screws not rivits holding it on. I did some research and found that the numbers on the core support and the numbers on the trunk rail match each other but do not match the dash tag..... How can I find out the complete vin number to match the core support and the trunk is the another complete VIN number anywhere else on the car????

Is your fender or data plate on you car? If so the 1st or bottom line, last #s should be your vin # that should match your dash, Line two or next line up the last #s on that line would be your vehicle order # Those #s should match your radiator support and trunk rail. Check that out.
