1970 Panther Pink Cuda

What is the odds that a motor was stamped wrong from the factory? I have a 1970 cuda that I have owned for 21 years and always assumed it was number matching. I recently cheked the numbers and they don't match. By checking the casting numbers the motor was made in 03/22/1970. The car was manufactured on 04/09/1970. Any ideas on where I can get more information like where it was purchased or how many people owned it. My husband knows the previous 2 owners so it and it is hard to belive the motor was replaced.
