I have to admit even tho i love FORD GM and MOPAR, im a big FORD guy i really love Mustangs and I was honestly goin to buy a Saleen Mustang sometime next year. But after seeing the new challenger i was amazed my jaw droped, so now im goin to wait a little bit longer and get that Challenger.

Anyone else here after seeing the pictures of the Challenger deside to buy a Challenger rather then a mustang or Camaro?
or anythign else?

Well my brother owns a Mustang right now, but as soon as he saw the Challenger he would rather get a new Challenger.  As for me, I would like to get a new Challenger if money permits  Think

Out of the three I definitely like the Challenget better!

I have always loved the Cuda. Since Plymouth is no longer around my second choice is a Challanger. I had thought about a Mustang GT, until Roumors surfaced about a re-release of the E-body. Now that it is finally happening I will absolutly buy a Challanger.
One point: I believe that the Big Three have finally figured it out. We Americans like Muscle Cars. Sorry Japan you make a nice car but thier isn't a Retro Mod Honda that can compete with Raw horse power. from a V-8 Big or Small doesn't matter. I figure after that statement I will ruffle a few feathers. Save it! This is for the american Muscle cars.

I really liked the new mustang but when I saw the challenger I changed my mind real quick. The challenger is a beautiful car at any angle and I wouldnt change anything about it. Dodge done a great job with this car and I hope it comes out like the pictures that have been released.

My first new car was a '69 Camaro. Bought a new '72 Mach I 'Stang. But my fav. was a  '72 Challenger bought in '73. Bring back that great Challenger styling and make it sound like the hot 273 Dart.

I won't really get into too much history on my preferance but I will say when I saw the Mustang I was pretty impressed, seemed like Ford finally got it right, except no big motor.  When I first saw the Challenger, literally my heart sank, then it flipped, then I thought forget the new mustang....

Funny thing is my old man back n the early 70's was set to go buy a mustang, on the way to get the new pony he saw a challenger, stopped in and bought that instead, and yes, my Mom was upset about it, LOL. My Dad has been a Dodge guy ever since.....

So to me this was a no brainer...I was set to get a pony but put it off...

I think the new Mustang is beautiful.  I prefer the Challenger since I am a Mopar guy.

I think Chevy has been dragging around Camaros and Firebirds long enough.

I drive a 2001 Convertible GT with 527hp, 456rwhp.    It only see's sunny days.     I love my car.

However,  I grew up in a 1973 duster special and I'll always love Mopar products.  It's about time the quality is comming back around.

When I fitst saw the 08 Challengar,  I could not believe it.  But only Mopar would bring back something so edgy and true to life.   I will have one no doubts.   Especially if they make it a convertible with the 392 Hemi.

Anyway,  Somone in the thread said we like muscle V8 power.   most non American auto makers make V8, 10 and 12 engines that out perform liter for liter the american V8.   So...    This is a change for Mopar to put America back on top!   Go Mopar!!!!!!! (with a bit of the Dr.Z)

what a hard decision...Mustang vs. Challenger vs. Camaro (where's 'Cuda??)...

I love all of these cars, but I prefer the Challenger...426 Hemi engine rules!!!

Originally, there was talk of bringing back the 'cuda instead of the challenger, but mopar went off and killed plymouth, so there's no other choice. This concept actually looks more like a 'cuda than a challenger.

I will definitely be buying this car if it's even close to the concept.

When I first saw a picture of the new Challenger it was in a Hotrod magazine. Someone else was flipping through the mag. and when I saw it, I thought someone street-rodded a 70 Challenger. I thought, man that's really cool looking. My wife later showed me a picture of the new Challenger prototype. It's the one I saw in the mag! Ya' mean anyone can get that?! Oh yeah! In contrast, when I saw the new Camaro I thought, "What a shame, they wrecked another muscle car moniker." Which seams to be what Chevy is REALLY good at lately. ie:the toyota nova of the 80's, the malibu, the prototype for the nomad, etc... I'm a die hard Chevy guy, but who looks at these things and thinks"Oh yeah, That's it!"?

I was thinking Camaro also, but since I still have my 71 Challenger, I am waiting also for the new one.

Actually,i think the Challenger best represents the original car in all forms of styling, etc,so yes out of the 3 i would definately choose the Challenger, and I've been a GM guys since i was a kid.Untill GM comes closer to the original 69 Camaro in styling, and offers option packages(RS,SS,Z/28),then i will probably stay waway from it.

As for the Mustang,I'm somewhat content with the styling, but am quite dissapointed with the lack of side louvers, buldged hoods, and the "stubby"front nose(yuk).3" added to the length of the nose would have made the Mustang alot more of an appealing car.It has that same BMW stub nose look to it,which i personaly dislike very much.

I really like the Challenger, cause it looks like a modern designed Challenger, and i think Chrysler designers retained the Body lines and overall appeal of the original Challenger.Just the idea of having a 6.1 Hemi mated to a 6 speed maual transmission is Awesome to say the least!

As for the Camaro(Concept version)I like the looks of it,but would seriously desire more modification to the front and rear design of the car.The rear panel on the car looks like a Corvette, and nothing like the original 69 Camaro,as for the front of the car, that over sized front bumper is not very attractive, and needs the grille and headlamp section needs to take up more space away from that huge front bumper.

All in all,The Challenger gets my vote!hands down.

I currently own a '99 Camaro Z28, and after seeing both the new Camaro concept and the Challenger concept, I'm ready to go mopar.

Unlike most people, I never really cared much for the early Mustangs.  Camaros were ok but never really tripped my trigger all that much.  I just really liked most all the Mopars.  Probably was influenced somewhat by the fact that my brother-in-law raced a 71 Duster and my brother also owned the same.  When I first saw the new 'stangs, I was surprised at myself that I liked them.  I've even considered buying one but now I've got my eyes set on the Challenger.  Price however will be an issue.  The Mustang offers a lot of bang for the buck and I have a feeling the Challenger will be hard pressed to match the value.  Maybe I'll buy a 'stang now, wait a few years and trade it in for a used Challenger.
