I'm new here.  I'm in the market for a 70-71 Dodge Challenger.  I'm like most in that I want the nicest, most correct car, for the best price.  A good value.  I like the RT/SEs probably a 383 or 440 4v car and the T/As the best.  Ideally I would want a correct #s matching car with lots of original documents that I can enjoy and drive to and from shows for a reasonable price.  Want a very nice show/driver car.  Probably a #2 or #3 car but closer to a #2.  I'm not really sure what I should look for or avoid in searching and would like to get some tips from those with experience.

Also, I've seen some listed that say they have the correct year model block but that it is not numbers matching.  I know this is significant, but how do you put a value on that?  This doesn't really bother me as I would like to drive and enjoy the car but I also don't want to make the wrong decision and waste money on the wrong car.  Would like it to be worth at least what I paid for it when/if I decide to sell it.  If it's worth more great, but if not, that's okay as I just want a super nice preferably restored car to drive, show and enjoy without worrying too much about actual mileage etc.  Any help would be great.  Thanks
