Hey there mopar maniacs, i am the proud owner of a 1970 340 barracuda.  I have been having some issues of late with the engine cranking over and noticed by chance that the alternator was throwing out a spark.  There has def. been enough fuel getting to the engine and compression seems fine but it just doesnt wanna start up easily. It will crank crank crank crank and eventually fire up but a couple of instances ive had driving recently it has just died while driving, died. Ill keep cranking and cranking and eventually it will fire again but it seems to be a constant problem now. I expect the alternator has something to do with it and will replace it this week, but is there any suggestions you may have to problem solve or help me out with another possible problem or cause. Thanks HEAPSS.

Hi,The same thing happened on an episode of  wrecks to riches (Barry White Streetrods)

If i remember correctly it was a grounding problem from the motor to the body !

                                                    Cheers, Cudaneil.
