1974 Fury Sport Suburban!

Dad bought this new, June 19th, 1974. This was during the Gas Crisis and the dealer wanted to pawn off a 360 Sattellite wagon on Dad but he'd have nothing to do with that since he was planning on retiring in three years and had already bought a 26' Airstream and he new a heavy duty Fury was the only way to go. He had never owned a Mopar being a Ford guy since 1935 but I had bought a '73 Road Runner 360 new from the same dealership the year before and Dad really liked that car so he decided to go Mopar. Dad passed away last June, almost exactly thirty three years to the date that he drove this Fury home. We made it to a lot of shows and I still enter it in Dad's name: Don Stillabower.
I REALLY wish I still had the Road Runner too!

Really sorry about your Dad. Bet you guys had lots of memories tied up in this car. I really like these big boys, and think they make great rides for getting around town and going to Mopar shows. Thanks for sharing. jh
