Rear end options

I've got a 63 GT I'm rebuilding, it has the 225 still in it (with the push button tranny) and it runs strong, but I'm going to upgrade to the 318 or 361. My question is what are my options for beefing up the rear end and getting bigger brakes on it? This is my first rebuild and I want to do it right. Thanks for any help offered.
