727 casting #

I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to decode the casting # on my 727? All I know is that it is a non lockup, would realy like to know the year to buy rebuild kit!

ok, now I'm starting to look like an idiot! I made an assumption that the casting # would be on the left side of the trans just above the pan, the same as the newer 518, but I was unable to find one. So looks like I need more help, where the heck is it!
